WELCOME BACK TO MASS — UPDATE

Dear Parishioners,

In light of the State achieving 80% vaccination rate, St Catherine’s, Gymea, has recommenced the celebration of Mass from Saturday, 23 October, beginning with the Vigil Mass at 5 pm.
Confessions will precede the Vigil Mass from 4:30 pm to 4:55 pm.
Then, from Sunday, 24 October, Mass will be celebrated at 7:30 am, 9:30 am, and 5 pm.

And, mask wearing is MANDATORY for indoor religious services until further notice – possibly into the New Year.
(as at 1 December, singing is now permitted BUT masks must be worn)

From thenceforth, the following Weekday Mass schedules has also commenced:

Mondays: 9:15 am Mass

Tuesdays: 8:30 am-9:10 am Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament followed by the 9:15 am Mass

Wednesdays: 8:30 am-9:10 am Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament followed by the 9:15 am Mass

Thursdays: 8:30 am-9:10 am Adoration of followed by the 9:15 am Mass 9:15 am Mass

Fridays: 8:30 am-9:10 am Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament followed by the 9:15 am Mass

Saturdays: 8:30 am-9:10 am Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament followed by the 9:15 am Mass

Please remember to sign in using either the QR codes or the “sign-in” sheets provided near the entrances to the Church.

Please note as there are NO Masses, no response sheets are being prepared….

This weekly sheet includes the Entrance Antiphon, the Response to the Responsorial Psalm, Gospel Acclamation and Verse and the Communion Antiphon.

Please take one and use it for the week – UNDER COVID – DO NOT RETURN USED PAPER TO THE BASKET BUT KEEP IT



CONFESSION TIMES:
After each morning 9:15 am Mass, Monday – Saturday and then 4.30 pm – 4.55 pm prior to Saturday Vigil 5 pm Mass.
Father Greg will also do at other times via appointment

You are required to WEAR A MASK and use the hand sanitiser available and to always QR or manually SIGN IN and SIGN OUT on the register or QR on your smart phone – QR signs will be posted on nearly every door come this week-end with sign-in sheets available inside the main doors for those without a smart phone.




Where can I watch Mass now that Churches are open but only small numbers are permitted?


St Mary’s Cathedral will continue to live-stream the 10:30 am Solemn Mass every Sunday while the restrictions continue as well as various other services throughout the week. Check the website for regular updates. https://www.stmaryscathedral.org.au/ MASS FOR YOU AT HOME is broadcast on Channel 10 each Sunday from 6 am.
There are several live-streaming services for daily Mass both locally and from around the English-speaking world.
Bishops and priests can still say Mass privately.
