Dear Parents and Guardians,

St Catherine Labouré Catholic Parish, Gymea are excited to bring you the dates for our 2026 Sacramental Program. This program walks with children who have been baptised through the Rites of Initiation into the Catholic Church; the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Sacrament of First Holy Communion, and the Sacrament of Confirmation. These Rites bring children into full communion with our local parish community and the body of Christ in His Catholic Church, through a short program of lessons that aim to authentically and reverently provide encounter and understanding with the truth, beauty and goodness of the Catholic tradition we share.

If you feel 2026 is the right time to walk with your child through the Rites of Initiation, please sign up via the link above.

When you register, it is expected that: 

• children will attend all lessons as necessary to their sacrament

• one parent/guardian will be present with the child for the duration of the lesson

• you will choose lesson times/dates that enable your full attendance

• you will attend the Mass that precedes or follows your child’s lesson

There is no upper age limit for receiving these sacraments, and if you are unsure about committing to these expectations at this time, please speak to our team or consider deferral to another year.

This is an exciting journey deeper into the Catholic faith and tradition for your children, and is also a time to pray and reflect on your own journey into the Catholic Church. We welcome you to consider your role in the maturation of your child’s faith, and we look forward to supporting that through our works and offerings at the Parish.
